Context

AXELOS announced the launch of ITIL® 4, the next evolution of ITIL® in October 2017 for release in 1st March 2019. ITIL® is the most popular ITSM methodology in the world. ITIL is at the heart of all service desk functions and tools used globally. This IT Tech Giant realized early on the need to stay abreast of the changes sweeping the area of IT service Management. It was imperative that key personnel needed to have their skills upgraded, so that the organization could be ready to launch internal capacity building by the launch of the IT framework

Solution

Key consultants at Ducis were certified by Axelos in November 2018, and these consultants in turn worked closely with the IT Service Practice in the IT Tech Giant, to identify potential internal champions, train them and equip them. A multi-dimensional approach was followed wherein class room training, online learning solutions and detailed content was created and provided between the period Dec 2018 and Feb 2019. Two Champions were trained and certified as ITIL 4 accredited trainers with the mission to spread the light.

Result

By Jan 2020, Ducis had assisted the training and accreditation of ITIL Champions who were instrumental in ensuring training of and certification of around 450 ITIL 4 Foundation certified professionals.
